In the middle of a pandemic it was an audacious goal: purchase
65 goats, 500 chickens, and 100 Bible Storytelling Scarves to empower India
families fighting poverty and hopelessness in the wake of Covid-19. We weren’t
quite sure how this would go.
But now it’s time to celebrate! Thanks to your incredible
generosity, we exceeded that goal.
The $10,820 you gave will equip nearly 180 families and
widows to not only provide food for themselves but also create a sustainable
income to help them with medical care, school fees and other necessities. And
that’s not all. It will also allow them the
joy of giving back to their churches and communities by returning a tithe of the
offspring from the animal you gave to help other needy families who will do the
same: multiplying your impact and
transforming entire families and communities for generations.
Our deepest thanks to all of you who showed up in incredible
ways: prayer, generosity, and advocacy through sharing Kerusomen’s posts,
videos, and Blog articles with others. This 90-second video can hardly contain all of
our gratitude, but it’s a start and we’ll keep trying.
And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. - 2 Corinthians 8: 1-4
